Call of the Last Hour is a website dedicated to sharing the message of Jesus Christ, and contending for the Christian faith in light of the Second Coming of our Lord. In his first epistle, the Apostle John writes “Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour” (1 John 2:18). John was convinced that “last hour” had begun, and that this particular period of history was marked by the appearance of antichrists. He later defines an antichrist as  one who “denies that Jesus is the Christ” (2:22), and who does not “acknowledge Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh” (2 John 7). Furthermore, he also identifies something he calls the “spirit of the antichrist” (1 John 4:3), which is a spirit that “does not confess Jesus”. A cardinal mark of the last hour is an anti-Christ, attitude among many in the world. This attitude will culminate in the the person of the Antichrist – the great enemy of Jesus who is prophesied to come upon the world scene in the period of history immediately before Jesus’ return. Even now we can see the effects of this anti-Christ spirit in the world, as the truth of Jesus Christ and His work continue to be under assault.
